Introduction to Liquid Zeolite

General introductory information on activated liquid zeolite

Liquid zeolite was first developed by rubber/polymer specialist and researcher, Harvey Kaufman, who filed a patent on 11 September 2001 for a liquid zeolite to be used as an epithelial cell cancer drug. Kaufman's invention caught the eye of a new network marketing company called Waiora which was founded in 2004 by Stanley Cherelstein and Eddie Stone, who decided to take it on and originally paid Kaufman royalties for his intention. Waiora's scientific advisor was biochemist Rik Deitsch. The liquid zeolite they marketed — which they branded as "Natural Cellular Defense" or NCD and which was the first on the market — was a HUGE hit. In fact, this product made Waiora one of the fastest growing natural health companies in the last few years.

Unfortuantely, the Kaufman (Lifelink Pharmaceuticals) fell out with Waiora and took legal action against them in March 2007 for patent infringement and non-payment of royalties. (Biochemist Rik Deitsch for Waiora claimed that as Waiora were not using a synthetic zeolite then the patent was not violated as the patent specificed synthetic zeolite.) This case was settled out of court, after which Kaufman and Waiora parted company, with Waiora continuing to sell their NCD-brand liquid zeolite and Kaufman going off to produce his own brand called ZNatural.

Around this time, other brands started to appear on the market, so that NCD and ZNatural are only two of around 10 brands on the market today.

There is no doubt that liquid zeolite is a very useful detoxification health supplement, and this is backed up by some of the research undertaken by a few of the manufacturers. (Waiora lead the way in liquid zeolite research with several clinical trials, and have even managed to get the first peer-reviewed paper published on the detox benefits of their NCD, which should open the door for more published papers.)
